1. Hazardous Environments *

By applying to Kaotik Media, I acknowledge that field journalism frequently involves hazardous and life-threatening conditions. This includes, but is not limited to: violent crime scenes, armed conflicts, fires, natural disasters, vehicle crashes, severe weather, riots, protests, and unstable or hostile environments.

2. Exposure to Graphic Content *

I understand that I will likely witness and document traumatic, disturbing, and graphic events, including but not limited to: serious injuries, fatalities, property destruction, human suffering, and law enforcement actions. I accept that exposure to such content can have emotional and psychological impacts, and I am solely responsible for seeking any support or resources I may need.

3. Personal Liability & Risk *

I agree that my safety is my own responsibility. I will not place myself or others in unnecessary danger for the sake of footage. I will use my own judgment when approaching scenes, and I understand that no shot is worth my life.

4. Independence in the Field *

I understand that I may often work alone, without direct supervision, and that my decisions in the field directly affect my own safety. I will follow all local, state, and federal laws while gathering content, and I am responsible for ensuring my own compliance.

5. Law Enforcement & Legal Encounters *

I understand that interactions with law enforcement, security personnel, and the public may occur. I agree to conduct myself with professionalism, avoid interference with emergency personnel, and accept that Kaotik Media cannot intervene on my behalf in legal disputes, arrests, or confrontations arising from my actions.

6. Voluntary & Unpaid Position *

I acknowledge that being a photographer, videographer, or contributor with Kaotik Media is strictly voluntary and is not a paid employment position. I understand that Kaotik Media does not provide wages, benefits, workers’ compensation, or financial reimbursement for assignments. Any costs I incur, including but not limited to fuel, equipment, or personal expenses, are my responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Liability Waiver *

I release and hold harmless Kaotik Media, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any liability related to injury, death, property damage, arrest, emotional trauma, or any other harm I may suffer while performing duties as part of or associated with Kaotik Media.

8. Equipment Responsibility *

I acknowledge that Kaotik Media is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of my personal equipment, vehicle, or gear used in the course of covering events.

9. Media Rights & Ownership *

I agree that all content I capture while representing Kaotik Media may be published, distributed, and monetized by Kaotik Media. While I retain personal creative rights, I grant Kaotik Media an unrestricted license to use my work for editorial, promotional, and commercial purposes.

10. Mental & Physical Fitness *

I confirm that I am mentally and physically capable of handling the demands of field journalism. I understand the toll this work can take and accept responsibility for monitoring my own well-being.

11. Voluntary Participation *
