Thousands Of Students, Teachers Protest For Gun Control At Tennessee State Capitol / Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN | 04.03.2023 | Monday morning thousands of students and teachers walked out of nearby schools to protest and march for safer, stricter gun laws.

The protests began a week after the shooting at a local church school that killed three children and three staff. One of the children killed was the daughter of the Senior Pastor at the church where she went to receive education.

The protest took place just in front of the Tennessee State Capitol, where Senators and Representatives who supported the protest, also attended. Several hours later, the protest came to a peaceful end, awaiting for their second protest to take place at 4pm inside the State Capitol where the Senate and House would have their sessions.
