Motorcycle Suspect Tries Fleeing Police, Crashes And Gets Stuck Under Guardrail / Mount Pleasant
MT. PLEASANT, TN | 05.20.2023 | At approximately 4:00 AM on Saturday morning, officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department were engaged in a pursuit of a man on a dark-colored motorcycle heading southbound on Tennessee 243 in Mount Pleasant at high rates of speed.
After attempting to flee officers, the suspect took a right turn onto the Highway 43 entrance and crashed into a guardrail, pinning them and their motorcycle underneath the rail.
The motorcycle caught fire and was shortly after knocked down with a fire extinguisher.
The man operating the motorcycle was conscious an alert and had sustained moderate to severe injuries and was soon after transported by EMS to Maury Regional Airport to be airlifted.
Maury County Sheriffs and Mount Pleasant Fire also responded to this incident.
