Columbia Firefighters Battles Flames At Storage Facility On Gas Station Property / Columbia
COLUMBIA, TN | 06.27.2023 | Late Tuesday night, at 11:04 PM, Columbia Fire & Rescue responded to an urgent call regarding a commercial structure fire located at 507 East James Campbell Blvd, near the intersection of Tom J Hitch Parkway.
Upon arrival at approximately 11:11 PM, the first units confirmed that a storage facility situated behind the Exxon gas station was fully engulfed in flames, prompting a mutual aid request for Spring Hill Fire and Mount Pleasant Fire. Promptly, the firefighting operations commenced to combat the blaze.
At around 11:24 PM, Ladder 1 initiated exterior operations utilizing their aerial equipment.
The flames were successfully suppressed shortly thereafter.
Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
