Detached Garage Catches Fire, Dog Allegedly Injured / Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN | 06.26.2023 | At approximately 7:35 PM Monday evening, firefighters from the Memphis Fire Department were dispatched to residential structure fire at the 3500 Block of Powell Ave, cross of Treadwell Street.

Smoke was reported to be seen as far as 2 miles away. First arriving units reported flames were showing. The fire spread from the backside of a house into the detached garage and surrounding vegetation. Flames were knocked approximately 25 minutes later.

No reports of any human-related injuries. One dog was allegedly injured and checked out by paramedics.
