Heavy Machine Fire At Trash Dump / Columbia | 02.14.2022
COLUMBIA, TN | 02.14.2022 | Early Monday afternoon, at approximately 6:25 PM, firefighters with the Maury County Fire Department responded to a report of a skid steer that caught on fire in the wooded area behind the Maury County Collection Center at 1984 Bear Creek Pike.
As firefighters arrived on scene of the location, they could see that the machine has been engulfed in flames entirely and started to spread to the field. The machinery, owned and operated by Anderson Land Clearing, a family-owned business, caught fire while allegedly being operated.
Maury County Sheriffs and Maury Regional EMS also responded to the incident. The flames were extinguished after about 10 minutes. Cause of the machine fire is unknown by firefighters at this time.
