Peaceful Protest Occurs In Downtown Riverside / Riverside | 06.01.2020
RIVERSIDE, CA | 06.01.2020 | Monday evening at 4:00pm, hundreds of citizens gathered in Downtown Riverside to protest against police brutality and to what happened to the late George Floyd who was murdered.
Crowds can be heard yelling and chanting, "Say his name! George Floyd!" as they pass commercial structures and law enforcement personnel.
Participants can also be seen with homemade signs and posters, some of them saying "Blue Lives Murder", "Black Lives Matter", "#JusticeForGeorgeFloyd" and many more.
Several minutes before 6:00pm, the mandated curfew set for the City of Riverside and the County of Riverside, a group of drivers halted traffic - spinning their tires causing clouds of smoke. Around 6:30pm, all protesters and spectators cleared the area and ended the protest in peace.
