Suspect Fleeing Police Crashes Into Multiple Vehicles, Killing Elderly Mother / Mount Pleasant
MT. PLEASANT, TN | 05.04.2023 | Late Thursday night, deputies with the Maury County Sheriff's Office were in pursuit of a red Dodge Challenger, when it crashed into two other vehicles on Lawrenceburg Highway and Highway 43 in Mount Pleasant.
At approximately 11 PM, emergency crews were further dispatched to the location as the three-vehicle wreck resulted in multiple injuries, including at least one death. LifeFlight and Air Evac were requested and shortly after transported at least two patients to Vanderbilt.
The fatal crash resulted in an hours-long shut down, heading Northbound on Highway 43. At approximately 4:30 AM on Friday morning, the incident and debris were cleared.
No further information was given at this time.
MAY 9, 2023 UPDATE: The suspect, 34-year-old Ricardo Walker, has formally been charged with vehicular manslaughter. No other updates provided.
