Home Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames, Leaves Mother And Son Homeless / Culleoka

CULLEOKA, TN | 03.11.2023 | At 5:15 PM on Saturday evening, firefighters with the Maury County Fire were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Graham Road in Culleoka, just south of Maury County Fire Station 3.

Upon arrival of firefighters, it was determined that the structure was fully engulfed in flames and a command was quickly established. Due to the involvement of the structure, firefighters commenced defensive operations and were able to knock down the flames several hours later.

Two residents were reported to be inside the home at the time of the house catching fire.

A family member who resides on the property, stated both residents, their brother and elderly mother, were able to escape the flames without suffering any injuries. However, as a precaution, the mother was taken to the hospital. The son and mother will also be staying with other family members after the incident calms down.

At this time, Department Chief Peruit stated the fire appears to be an accident, however, cause of the fire is unknown.

Per a Facebook post from Maury County Fire Department, responding units included: Department Chief Peruit, District Chief 1 & 3, Engines 1, 3, 10, 12, and Tankers 1, 3, 6, 12.
