Homeless Encampment Causes Brush Fire / Highland | 05.04.2020

HIGHLAND, CA | 05.04.2020 | Monday evening at 6:00pm, emergency services were alerted of brush fire in a field near residential homes and a water district, North of Highland Avenue / East of California SR-330. Shortly after 6:26pm the same day, flames from the brush fire were extinguished.

Personnel from SBCoFD have valid reasoning to believe it was started by an encampment that was inhabiting the homeless. Fire is now under investigation.
