MEMPHIS, TN | 09.24.2022 | Late Saturday night, strong winds from a severe thunderstorm tore through Memphis and neighboring cities, knocking down large trees into residential homes.

Meanwhile, several towns north of Memphis, Covington Police state the strong winds disrupted a local festival, scattering tents and trees that have blocked roads. Powerlines were also reported to be knocked down across the area in Covington.
