Vegetation Fire Occurs On Abandoned Property Behind Apartment Complex / Highland | 01.18.2020

HIGHLAND, CA | 01.18.2020 | At roughly 4:00pm on Saturday evening, Medic Engine 541 & 543 from CAL Fire / Highland Fire Dept and San Bernardino Sheriffs / Highland Station, responded to a vegetation fire on a property that was abandoned, sitting behind an active apartment complex on Central Avenue, just South of Baseline Street in Highland.

Upon arrival, firefighters took action and successfully put out the flames while Deputies, from Highland Police, secured the scene by blocking traffic from coming through the area. Once the blaze was put out, CAL Fires’ Prevention Bureau was called to the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated.
