Couple Killed In Horrific Fatal Collision Around Pole / Columbia | 07.02.2022

COLUMBIA, TN | 07.02.2022 | Saturday afternoon, at approximately 4:30pm, Maury County Fire and Maury Regional EMS responded to a single vehicle accident with two occupants entrapped, on Old Williamsport Pike.

The vehicle, a silver Chevy Malibu, was reported to have hit a power pole, splitting the vehicle in half and causing it to catch fire. First responders immediately established a command and was able to get the fire under control while also conducting extrication operations on the two occupants.

Unfortunately, both occupants entrapped did not survive the accident. At this time, Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating the collision and what may have caused this horrific loss.
