Tractor Trailer Hauling Tire Load of 38,000 Lbs, Catches Fire / Marshall County
MARSHALL COUNTY, TN | 02.01.2023 | Early Wednesday morning, at approximately 4:37am, emergency crews were dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire on the I-65 Southbound, near the 28.6 mile marker in South Marshall County.
Upon arrival, crews determined the vehicle to be a tractor trailer carrying a combined weight of 72,000lbs, roughly 38,000lbs of tires loaded into its trailer.
The incident caused all lanes of the I-65 to be shut down for several hours while firefighters continued to stay on scene to battle the flames.
At this time, cause of the fire is undetermined.
